St. Louis has always been a city that makes things. We were built by beer brewers and iron workers. We made our bricks out of Mississippi mud and built a city out of bricks. A lot has changed since then — much of the industry is gone — but we're still making things with our hands. Modern craftsmanship is more celebrated now than ever: St. Louis still makes its own beer, its own music, its own fun — its own way in the world. It is in that tradition that Riverfront Times proudly dedicates our biggest issue of the year — Best of St. Louis® — to the spirit of D.I.Y.

Every nomination is automatically saved, but may be changed up until the close of the nomination process, at which time all saved nominations are submitted for counting.

Before we can declare the winners in over 250 categories of music, food, drink, goods and services, we need you to do it yourself: Fill out our annual Readers' Poll and nominate your picks for Best CD/Record Store, Best Coffee, Best Local Politician, to name just a few. You can start your ballot now, save it, and come back as many times as you like until the deadline. Nominations end on August 14 and any partially completed ballots will be submitted as they are. Finalists will be announced on August 21 and you'll be able to vote for the winners until mid-September.
